How Tagvara works

Draft version, 28 October 2026

Draft, not yet legally reviewed

This text describes how Tagvara works today. It hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer, isn't legal advice and doesn't claim compliance with any law. Parts marked as to be supplied are missing until Tagvara's operator provides them.

Tagvara is an early-stage marketplace for second-hand adult clothing, shoes and bags, starting in Lithuania. It is in test mode: some things a finished marketplace does, Tagvara doesn't do yet. This page explains what it does today.

1. Signing in

You sign in with your email address and a 6-digit code we email you. There are no passwords. The first code creates your account.

2. Selling

You create a listing with photos, a category, size, condition and price, save it as a draft and publish it when it's ready. You can hide a published listing at any time and publish it again. Each member can have up to 20 open listings.

Photos are re-encoded on our server; location and other hidden data in the files is removed.

3. Buying: a request, not a payment

Tagvara doesn't take, hold or pass on payments. Nothing you do on Tagvara charges you money.

When you request to buy an item, the seller can accept or decline. Accepting reserves the item for you and declines other requests for it. You and the seller then agree on payment and handover in Tagvara messages, at your own risk. Tagvara doesn't check or guarantee the payment.

  • Requested: waiting for the seller.
  • Accepted: reserved for you. Either of you can still cancel; the item goes back on sale.
  • Shipped: the seller sent it and added a tracking reference.
  • Delivered: the seller says tracking shows it arrived.
  • Completed: you confirmed you received it. The item is marked sold.

4. Shipping

Tagvara doesn't arrange shipping, print labels or connect to carriers. The seller sends the item with a carrier of their choice and types the carrier and tracking reference into the order. You agree on postage with the seller.

Once an order is marked as shipped it can't be cancelled on Tagvara. If something goes wrong, talk to the other person in messages. Tagvara doesn't yet offer refunds, returns or dispute resolution.

5. Messages and favourites

You can message a seller about a published listing. Only the two of you can read the conversation; if one of you reports a message, a moderator sees that message only. Requesting to buy also opens a conversation. You see the other person's username and display name, not their email address.

Favourites are private: only you see what you've saved.

6. Reports and moderation

Signed-in members can report a listing for a reason, such as counterfeit or misleading. A Tagvara moderator reviews reports and can dismiss them, look into them further, or hide the listing. Hiding takes it out of public view and declines its pending purchase requests; an order that was already accepted continues.

Members can also report a message someone sent them, and a member they can see (a seller with a published listing, or someone they have a conversation with), for example for harassment, a scam attempt or a fake account. A moderator can hide the message (both people then see that it was removed), warn the member, or stop the member from sending messages for 7 or 30 days. Someone who can't send messages can still buy, sell and report.

The member a decision is about (a seller whose listing was hidden, the sender of a hidden message, a warned or restricted member) gets a notice in Tagvara with the rule and the moderator's reason, and can appeal once within 6 months by explaining why the decision is wrong. A different moderator reviews the appeal and upholds or reverses the decision; the member is told the outcome and the reason. Members who reported something are told whether action was taken, not the details. No review time is promised yet, and notices are shown only in Tagvara, not sent by email. To be supplied by the operator: Contact address for moderation questions.

7. Your data

In your account you can download your data or delete your account. The privacy policy explains what deleting does and what is kept.
